e-Participation Platforms and Tools in the European Region

The briefing note, which evaluates the participation of citizens and civil society organisations (CSOs) in decision-making processes in Europe, focuses on the definitions and policies of e-participation of institutions such as the United Nations (UN), the Council of Europe (CoE), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the European Union (EU). It also discusses international evaluation criteria such as the UN's e-Participation Index and the OECD Digital State Index.
