The information booklet The Right to Effective and Meaningful Participation in Political Decision-Making Processes and Mechanisms, which we produced as part of the Right to Participate Project supported by the European Union, is now online.
The brochure gives a historical overview of the right to participate and provides information on models for implementing the right to participate in different issue areas. The first part of the brochure covers the background and historical development of participation in political decision-making processes.
The second part provides information on international documents and intergovernmental organizations on the international right to participation, the third part presents the right to participation and application models by thematic area, and the last part explains examples of good practice from around the world and Turkey.
