Project Coordinator (CODE: PC2021)
Position and Duties:
This position is full-time.
The position will be in charge of running an EU project and responsible for the management of preparedness, implementation, dissemination, and reporting processes. S/he will ensure that the project is running on time and within the budget limits.
Project Coordinator’s other responsibilities will include;
- Representing the project at the European Delegation to Turkey
- Distributing, coordinating and monitoring tasks and duties of project staff;
- Implementation of the project’s action plan, supervising the implementation of project activities, and ensuring the quality standards;
- Establishing and supervising effective document management system;
- Coordinating with independent assessors;
- Ensuring the legal and procedural excellence of micro-project contracts ;
- Being responsible from harmony, fairness, and zero discrimination among project staff
- Being responsible for the readiness of the project for evaluation and monitoring;
- Leading the procedures, contracts, reports, and sheets;
- Reporting;
- Managing financial resources.
- Executing the decision of the Steering Committee
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field from a social sciences faculty (preferably having also a master's degree).
- At least 5 years of experience in project and/or program management role in the humanitarian field (experiences on projects based on culture and arts will be a priority).
- Knowledge on project management principles and practices.
- Skilled in preparing presentations in creative and plain way.
- Experience on EU Project’s financial reporting is obligatory.
- Having gender-based approach and humanitarian principles.
- Having the ability to work with NGOs, public institutions and individuals at all levels.
- Having the ability to lead and coordinate groups/teams.
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise work to deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in Turkish&English
Financial Support Expert (CODE: PFSE2021)
Position and Duties:
This position is full time.
Financial Support Expert will be supported by Administrative Officer in operational aspects and will coordinate his/her work with Project Coordinator.
Financial Support Expert’s responsibilities will include;
- Being responsible from the effective functioning of micro-project grant programme;
- Preparing necessary documents and forms regarding tenders, technical specifications, and contracts;
- Being responsible for monitoring and evaluation of awarded micro grants;
- Preparing all financial reports ensuring that they are properly archived and safeguarded;
- Monitoring financial documents of awarded micro-grant projects;-
- Managing the processes of mid and final evaluation reports of the awarded micro-grant projects;
- Recording all payments and ensuring that all transactions are recorded into the system daily basis;
- Reviewing all documents submitted for payment to ensure proper procedures have been followed as per project consortium policies;
- Reviewing and preparing the monthly bank and cash reconciliation;
- Providing support to project staff, and work closely with them to ensure that financial information is accurate and up to date;
- Maintaining all internal and external audit processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in fields of Economics, Business, Accountancy (preferably having also a master's degree in these fields)
- At least 5 years of experience in project and/or program financial management role in the humanitarian field (experiences on projects based on culture and arts will take priority).
- Demonstrated competency with computerized general ledger software.
- Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office, accounting software specially QuickBooks Online and other data management systems, as required.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in Turkish & English.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritize work to deadlines.
- Well-developed organisational and planning skills.
Project Director Assistant (Code: PDA2021)
Position and Duties:
This position is full-time.
Project Assistant will be responsible for the successful IT management of the project’s web- based facility, the communication activities and trainings. The project Assistant will be directly responsible to the project director. His/her responsibilities will include
- Assisting project director and the financial support expert for functioning of the project team, administrative and organizational issues;
- Assisting the directors and the financial support expert in the implementation of the project;
- Monitoring and maintaining technical infrastructure and office infrastructure and needs
- Coordinating with local event coordinators, NGOs, the members of cultural dialogue platform
- Working in the field to support the organization of festivals, culture and art activities, dialogue activities, and meetings
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field in social sciences faculty (preferably having also a master's degree).
- At least 3 years of experience in assistant role for project and/or program in the humanitarian field (experiences on projects based on culture and arts will take priority).
- Demonstrated competency with IT management.
- Having ability to work with groups.
- Having gender-based approach and humanitarian principles.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in Turkish&English.
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise work to deadlines.
Well-developed organisational and planning skills.
Administrative Officer (Code: PAO2021)
Position and Duties:
This position is full-time.
Administrative Officer’s responsibilities will include;
- Assisting directors and the financial support expert for functioning of the project team, administrative and organizational issues;
- Assisting the directors and the financial support expert in the implementation of the project;
- Assisting project coordinator and financial expert;
- Being responsible for coaching and capacity improvement trainings/support for NGOs receiving third party financial support;
- Being responsible for monitoring activities;
- Provide support for the project assistant’s field work; facilitating reporting documents and communications among project team;
- Responding calls;
- Communication with project members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field in Accounting, Economics and other related fields (preferably having also a master's degree)
- At least 3 years of experience in administrative officer role for projects and/or programs in the humanitarian field (experiences on projects based on culture and arts will take priority).
- Having ability to work with groups and stakeholders.
- Having gender-based approach and humanitarian principles.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills in Turkish & English.
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure, manage time and prioritise work to
deadlines.

Culture and Arts Director (Code: PCAD2021)
The position is half time.
Culture and Arts Director’s responsibilities will include;
- Closely work with the project assistant and project officer in the field during the project
- Being responsible for photographing and filming of project activities; conducting and these responsibilities or coordinating with contractors if contractor service is procured
- Reflecting the philosophy, principles, and values of the action to the workshops, culture and arts activities,
- Closely coordinate with the local event coordinators.
