About the Program
The Republic of Turkey the Ministry of Culture and Tourism supports projects prepared by local administrations, associations, and foundations to develop and promote culture, art, and tourism. With a change made in 2012, "Private Theaters" cannot benefit from this support.
Priority Areas
Local, national, and international festivals, carnivals, commemoration days, concerts, exhibitions, shows, congresses, symposiums, seminars, panels, fine arts, fairs, and similar events that maintain, spread, support, develop and promote culture, art, and tourism values and richness.
About Application
In order for the Ministry to provide support to the applicants, the Ministry's budget must be allocated for this purpose, the project must be aimed at contributing to cultural, artistic, and touristic development and promotion, the main purpose of the association or foundation must be culture, art, tourism and promotional activity, and a protocol must be signed between the organization and the Ministry, the association or foundation must not be one of the associations established by public institutions and organizations or established to support public personnel or the foundations established for the same purposes according to the Turkish Civil Code, and the organization must not be involved in activities prohibited by the Constitution and laws.
The application is made by attaching the following documents to the Provincial Directorate of the province where the event will be held at least thirty days before the event date: The application petition stating the name of the applicant, the summary of the request and the legal notification address, a copy of the charter (if the applicant is an association) or a copy of the articles of foundation (if the applicant is a foundation) approved by the Provincial Directorate or Notary Public, the detailed report containing the name and purpose of the project, date or dates of the event, estimated cost sheet, event schedule and event information, list of local and foreign panelists, scientists, artists and similar persons and communities to take part in the project activity, the permit obtained from the local authority for the activity subject to the project, in case the date of the event changes, the detailed activity program with a new date before the date of the activity and the permit obtained again from the local administrative authority.
Priority is given to projects to be implemented in regions that are less socio-economically developed than others. Organizations are obliged to submit their final reports to the Provincial Directorates within 10 days at the latest after the end of their projects.
