Report; It examines Turkey's situation in terms of the political and economic criteria that must be met for membership. It also reviews Turkey's capacity to assume the obligations of membership, in other words, the EU acquis, which consists of Treaties, secondary legislation and Union policies.

In the report, which benefited from many sources, including contributions from the Government of the Republic of Turkey and member states, European Parliament reports and information from various international organizations and non-governmental organisations, the Commission, based on the technical analysis in this Report, made a separate Communication on the enlargement of Turkey. states that detailed conclusions about
