In the study, the legislations, course contents, facilities, academic staff and thesis studies in both universities have been were examined both through both open source research and obtaining information.
The obtained data has been verified by conducting interviews with right holders, consisting of university students. In conclusion, the obtained data was assessed according to the criteria and then reported over the University LGBTI + Equality Index. Both during and after the reporting phase, the criteria and results were shared with the universities for their self-evaluation.
According to the criteria of the University LGBTI + Equality Index, Ege University received 6 points out of the 73-point criteria list, while İzmir University of Economics received 5 points.
