The Conscientious Objection Statements Almanac, edited by Can Başkent, has been published by Propaganda Publications.
The almanac, which covers the years 1989-2010 and consists of 3 parts, aims to underline that conscientious objection is not heroism but sociopolitical activism and that this activism has individual and personal foundations, as can be seen in many examples of civil disobedience.
The almanac presents the explanations for which reasons, social and individual reasons people are conscientious objectors. In the almanac, which includes the statements of conscientious objectors, not only men's statements but also women's statements about conscientious objection are included.
