TUSEV (Third Sector Foundation of Turkey) published the report "Civil Society in Turkey: A Process of Change".
The report, which includes the final outputs of TUSEV's Turkish Civil Society Index Project (STEP), is the first international comparative and comprehensive research project on civil society in Turkey. It contains an important assessment of civil society given its position among the west.
The main objectives of STEP in the report are to understand the challenges and opportunities facing civil society; to use research findings as a guide in discussions and activities on the subject, and thus increase the contribution of civil society to democratization and development processes.
