
Education: From civil journalism to human rights
The project's work in the field of education was based on digital learning and digital participation with the principles and principles of cognitive and psychosocial empowerment. In this context, a total of 12 training modules were developed, including ‘Human Rights Trainings’ and ‘Civil Journalism Trainings’.
Monitoring for awareness and implementation
The project aimed to increase the monitoring and implementation activities of young university students in the fields of human rights violations and policies through monitoring activities. In this direction, 21 Monitoring Meetings were held with the participation of 237 young people and 3 Monitoring Workshops were organised with the participation of 227 young people during the project implementation period.
Advocacy: Youth in the field with digital participation
Advocacy activities of the project were shaped on increasing the advocacy activities of university students in the fields of human rights violations and policies. In this context, 7 Equality Meetings were held in 7 project provinces with the participation of 80 young people and 1 Advocacy Workshop was held in Ankara with the participation of 75 young people.
About the Rights Project
The project, supported by the European Union's European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (DIHAA) programme, was carried out in partnership with the Youth Services Centre Association, Mardin Joint Women's Cooperation Association and Uğur Mumcu Investigative Journalism Foundation. The project worked for 3 years to prevent discrimination and human rights violations against young people from vulnerable groups based on religion/belief, gender identity and sexual orientation in 7 project provinces, namely Ankara, Izmir, Istanbul, Mersin, Mardin, Diyarbakır and Samsun.
