About the Organization
WWF (World Wildlife Fund) is an international non-governmental organization established in 1961 to stop the damage to nature and to repair the damage. Turkey’s Life Program was established by WWF-Turkey in 2010 as a grant fund that supports the nature conservation projects of local CSOs for the protection of our country's biological diversity values and raising awareness on this issue. The grant fund, which is created with the donations of individuals and institutions, is distributed to the local civil society organizations operating in nature conservation in Turkey to implement their projects.
Priority Areas
Applications made by local civil society organizations throughout the country are evaluated according to the criteria of "priority need", "participation", "applicability", "sustainability" and "permanence". WWF-Turkey regularly monitors the progress of the projects by working with local civil society organizations during the implementation process.
About Application
WWF-Turkey is establishing a grant fund from donations accumulated in Turkey's Life campaign. With this fund, grant support is provided to the projects of local CSOs operating in the field of nature conservation in Turkey.
Projects submitted until the deadline are sent to the Selection Committee after being pre-screened. Applications are primarily evaluated in line with criteria such as need, participation, applicability, sustainability, and permanence.
Projects that will receive grant support are determined by the evaluation of the Selection Committee consisting of experts, academics, business, and art worlds. After the selection process, a one-day workshop is held for the projects to be supported. After the workshop, the process is completed and the project owners return to the fields to start working. During the execution phase of the projects, WWF-Turkey monitors the projects and makes regular evaluations. Application dates should be followed on the website of the institution.
