About the Organization
SIDA is a government agency operating under the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The agency cooperates with government agencies, organizations, and associations operating in Sweden, as well as partnerships with many international organizations such as the United Nations, the European Union, and the World Bank.
SIDA is part of Sweden's Program of Turkey. The aim of SIDA is to improve the democratization process of Turkey as a basis for future EU membership, to increase respect for human rights, and to contribute to the creation of a European common value system and a culture of cooperation.

About Application
SIDA's support in Turkey aims at the ongoing legal reforms, the development of local democracy and the strengthening of women's influence in economic and political life.
SIDA runs its programs with different partnerships. It works to spread human rights education in cooperation with the Raoul Wallenberg Institute. It conducts joint studies with the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Family and Social Policies. SIDA also supports CSOs through partnerships within the framework of its strategy.
