French Embassy Human Rights 2025

Every year the Embassy of France in Turkey supports projects of civil society organizations in line with its commitment to human rights, the sustainable development goals of the United Nations and France's feminist diplomacy.

A grant will be awarded by the French Embassy to each application selected by the jury that involves the defense and promotion of human rights, in particular for women and all vulnerable people. In expressing our commitment and solidarity with the LGBT+ community, we give special priority to gender equality and the following objectives

  • Ending sexual and gender-based violence;
  • Universal access to economic empowerment, social and educational rights;
  • Bodily autonomy, sexual and reproductive health and rights;
  • Strengthening women's participation and leadership in political and public life;
  • Combating all forms of discrimination;
  • Empowerment of marginalized and vulnerable populations.
  • This year, special attention will also be paid to solidarity with the victims of the earthquakes of February 2023. Projects addressing issues linked to the social consequences of the disaster will also be recognized.

All selected projects must include concrete actions to achieve these objectives, target public awareness and advocacy on these issues, build the technical capacity of civil society organizations or reflect gender equality strategies.

The amount allocated for this year's call for projects is €65,000. Selected projects will receive between €5,000 and €15,000, depending on the jury's decision, which will be announced by the end of March 2025 at the latest.
