About the Organization
FES is a private, independent, and cultural public interest organization committed to the ideas and core values of social democracy. Dialogues on important future issues such as supporting social justice, democracy, and international solidarity constitute the center of Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung's work in Turkey. FES organizes working groups, seminars, meetings, and international conferences with its partners from Turkey to support the exchange of knowledge and experience in Turkey.
Priority Areas
FES has determined three areas of work for itself in Turkey: Supporting democracy, protecting human rights and the rule of law; economic and social development in Turkey, and foreign policy of Turkey.
About Application
In Turkey, FES works in partnership with civil society organizations such as women's organizations, trade unions, professional organizations, associations, research organizations, think tanks, as well as universities, government institutions, and international organizations.
FES does not have a grant program for civil society organizations. However, Civil Society Organizations can submit their projects to FES with the aim of establishing a partnership, and if they are approved as a result of the evaluation of the proposal, they can realize their projects in cooperation with FES.
