The report presents a comprehensive observational study on hate crimes committed with prejudice based on religion, belief or lack of belief in Turkey. The study, which covers the period from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2023, contains information on 47 hate crimes or incidents related to religion, belief or lack of belief. It should also be noted that the data in the report does not reflect the true extent of hate crime, as there are significant barriers to reporting it. The monitoring study is based on prejudice against Jews, Christians, Muslims, Alevis, headscarf wearers, atheists, Jehovah's Witnesses, Yazidis and other religions or beliefs.
