Guide for Prevention and Intervention for Child, Early, and/or Forced Marriages: Practices for Teachers

The guide, prepared by the Teacher Network, was developed to contribute to efforts to eliminate Child, Early, and/or Forced Marriages (CEFM) and to safeguard children's rights. It was created with the collaboration of a community of teachers and the project team who came together within the Teacher Network (Öğretmen Ağı) to support teachers. The guide is the result of a process involving 20 teachers from 10 provinces and 8 different disciplines, along with 3 teacher candidates. It also includes a glossary explaining the relevant concepts.

The guide is intended for educators who are seeking empowerment or planning to work on combating child marriages. The texts and activities included in the guide are prepared for use by teachers, guidance counselors, and/or psychological counselors. The texts and activities in the guide can be used in classes, seminars, workshops, empowerment programs for parents, or teacher training sessions. The teachers are the implementers of the activities in the guide, while the target groups are educators, students, and parents. In addition to informative texts on Child, Early, and/or Forced Marriages (CEFM), the guide also includes activity suggestions for combating CEFM.
