We will visit a total of 10 cities on two different routes, one starting from Trabzon and the other from Adana, between May 20-24, 2024, to talk together about how to build more participatory, transparent, equal, accountable and strong structures and to make civil society's voice heard in building a common future.
What will we talk about?
How can civil society organizations contribute to the democratization of society? How can civil society be more effectively involved in the processes that affect its sphere? And how can civil society organizations, which are the voice of citizens and a fundamental actor in democracy, become more reliable, stronger and more democratic structures? We will reflect together on the answers to these and similar questions.
In this meeting, we will discuss how to strengthen our organizations to create a possible life where everyone is included, nature is cared for, and we can create change for an equal, just, and free future. We will also explore how to make the role of civil society organizations more effective in regulations concerning the civil sector and the possibilities of jointly developing common strategies, norms, and standards to be adopted by CSOs in Turkey.
What do we want?
- We want a stronger civil society!
- We want to change in order to change, and we want to be strong on our way to change!
- We want to become more effective actors in civil society issues!
- We want civil society for democracy and democracy for civil society!
