Whose stories will we listen to?
Gizem Bülbüller: Reads, stays active, loves animals, thinks and discusses. She works as a volunteer in the civic space and is committed to strengthening the pluralism of life and human coexistence. She deepens her work in the field of social solidarity economy and the empowerment of women with the inspiration she draws from life in the community.
Mesut Çeki: During the pandemic, she bought a motorbike and became a courier, first transporting flowers and food, then countless products from documents to dental care products, spare parts and wedding dresses. In three years, she covered more than 150 thousand kilometres. As she walked thousands of streets and witnessed the moods and faces of thousands of people, she suddenly realised that she was no longer just a courier, but was in the middle of a story of communication and solidarity networks involving tens of thousands of couriers. If she did not tell you her story, her tongue would swell...:)
Gizem Öykü Başkaya: A woman on her way to Ithaca, legal defender, lawyer, climber, dancer, runner; many things and not many things with what she wanted to be, what she gave up being, what she held on to being and what she gave up. In search of stories, in search of a secret in every story and a journey in every secret, he continues on his way through the cracks in the earth.
What are Power Stories Meetings?
Power Stories is the name of our meetings where we tell and listen to our own stories. As civil society workers, volunteers and enthusiasts, we come together for storytelling. At Power Stories", we hear first-hand real stories that have emerged in different channels of the civic space, reflect together with the storytellers' stories and talk about how we can move forward together on the difficult paths that lead to change.
