The planned study aims to draw attention to some important cases encountered in the field and to carry out case resolution within the framework of legal protection with civil society workers and volunteers.
The aim of the seminar is to give a short 20-minute presentation on the procedures and then discuss the following and related issues.
- A refugee with special needs who does not have access to the registration procedures for temporary protection and international protection has approached you. What steps would you take to ensure that this person has access to the asylum procedure? What kind of counselling would you offer?
- A person with temporary protection has contacted you and told you that they want to leave their spouse and change their province of registration. How would you inform this person of their basic rights? What are the priority steps this person should take?
- A person detained in a repatriation centre has contacted you. What kind of legal information would you give them? What would you recommend? What steps would you take to provide this person with access to legal support?
- A person with Temporary Protection or International Protection has contacted you to say that they have received a message that they have been called to the Provincial Migration Directorate to update their identity details. What kind of advice would you give this person about updating their details?
