Erselan Aktan will moderate the panel, in which Mehmet Şafak Sarı and Sarphan Uzunoğlu will participate as speakers.
About the panel:
Fake, troll, and bot accounts that deliberately share false news on social media, create a propaganda environment and smear campaigns constitute a major obstacle to the dissemination of accurate information.
The issue of troll accounts used for this purpose in social media is frequently on the agenda in Turkey. For example, in June 2020, the social media platform Twitter had closed 7 thousand 340 accounts in Turkey, which were stated to be linked to the "AKP's youth organization".
Finally, in the statement made by CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu on January 30, 2022, he claimed that the government is a paid army of fake/troll accounts with 10 thousand members using the people's taxes.
What is a troll account, who is called a troll? What can be done and what precautions can be taken against troll accounts that seriously impede daily life and accurate information transfer? What are the legal and other ways to reduce troll account pain?
