The project, which aims to increase the resilience of civil society against possible earthquakes in Turkey, aims to create a more coordinated and effective response to disaster management and human rights violations by acting together with civil society organizations and local journalists.
The training, which will be delivered by two expert trainers, will focus on basic skills for disaster preparedness and local disaster preparedness for civil society organizations and local journalists, effective communication methods and coordination during disasters, important issues during critical hours of a disaster, and effective disaster response.
25 representatives of civil society organizations and 10 local journalists from Istanbul and cities with earthquake risk (Hatay, Adıyaman, Malatya, Elazığ, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş, Bingöl, Adana, Bitlis, Van, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Adana, İzmir) will be accepted to the training. Accommodation and travel expenses of participants coming from out of town will be covered.
