With the project "Livelihoods for Refugees and Local Communities in Turkey with Agroecological Interventions Reinforcement Possibilities", Welthungerhilfe aims to improve the livelihoods and living conditions of refugees and local communities in the Southeast Anatolia region, especially in Mardin. The project focuses on creating sustainable livelihoods through agroecological and market-orientated approaches; the strengthening of women's initiatives and local capacities will be evaluated within this framework.
Funded by BMZ (Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany), the project is scheduled to start in the last quarter of 2025. The duration of the projects is set at 6-24 months and the funding amount is between €5,000 and €300,000. Local partners applying will be assessed on their expertise, capacity and suitability to work with the project objectives.
