What is deep poverty?

Deep poverty is not a temporary problem of today, but a cycle that expands from generation to generation and affects the whole society. From the moment one is born into deep poverty.....

  • not getting enough food
  • not being able to live in a safe house,
  • not getting an education,
  • not being able to get treatment,
  • being stigmatized and ostracized,
  • not being able to dream,
  • losing your voice,
  • not having a choice
  • not having opportunities,
  • is to lose self-confidence.

What do they aim for?

  • To create a society where everyone has access to basic rights such as food, shelter, education and health,
  • To make visible all these problems of people living in deep poverty,
  • Empowering people living in deep poverty by supporting them
  • and break the cycle of poverty into which they were born,
  • Demonstrate that deep poverty causes social exclusion and take actions to eliminate exclusion,
  • They aim to influence politicians to take political decisions to eradicate deep poverty

What do they do?

  • They provide regular grocery support, hot meal support, baby food and diaper support, periodic clothing and stationery support, medical/medical support, rent support, invoice support, scholarship support, digital support, toy/educational material, hygienic product support, furniture support and other household-specific support to people who cannot access their most basic rights due to deep poverty conditions.
  • In line with the principles of solidarity, they provide social service support, legal support and employment access support.
  • In line with the principle of sustainability, they provide the most reliable and detailed data on poverty in Turkey.
  • Deep poverty is an issue for all of us, a cycle that can be broken with solidarity.
