As part of our Monitoring Freedom of Association Project, funded by the European Union and implemented jointly with TÜSEV, we and 4 civil society organizations that we support (Memory Center, Toy Youth Association, Kaos GL and ADA Education Cooperative) participated in the Democracy Forum for the World organized by the Council of Europe.
The Forum, which was held in Strasbourg, France, from November 7 to 9, 2022, discussed the current state of democracy, steps to ensure a democratic life, and participation mechanisms. Also, in this forum, sessions were held on topics such as youth participation, education, history, awareness and the power of narrative, citizen participation, e-democracy, social inclusion, electoral processes, protection of activists and human rights defenders, and combating disinformation.
Reports on the topics discussed at the Forum will be published on the Council of Europe website at a later date.
