Born in 1973, İ. Renay Onur graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering, and then completed his MBA at Bilkent University, Faculty of Business Administration. With this identity, Onur aims to provide resources and strengthen non-governmental organizations (NGOs) through sports. Thanks to this initiative, he has helped more than 1,000 people donate 400,000 TL with just his steps between 2006 and 2017. Non-governmental organizations; He is also the founding member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Açık Açık Association, which was established to strengthen transparency levels. Renay Onur, who created a unique model that develops individual donation through sports in Turkey with the Step by Step project, was selected as an Ashoka Fellow by Ashoka, the global social entrepreneurship network that has accepted 3,500 people in the world so far.
Onur, who was appointed as the General Manager of Spor Istanbul in August 2019; gives seminars on entrepreneurship, innovation, volunteering, empathy/leadership on various platforms.
