The first episode of the Voice of the University podcast series, published monthly by the Civil Field Studies Association (Sivil Alan Araştırmaları Derneği), is out. The first part is about how the LGBTI+ Studies of Boğaziçi University came together, the processes that started with the appointment of a trustee, the closure of the community and the struggle of LGBTI+ on campus.
What is the voice of the university?
The podcast series discusses freedom of expression and assembly on campus, barriers to community and club association, the struggle of women and LGBTI+ on campus, lawsuits against students, and the struggle of students on screen. In the thirteen-part series presented by journalist Cansu Pişkin, the achievements and challenges of student activism are conveyed by the protagonists of the struggle.
