The training aims to introduce participants to basic media literacy concepts and practices and provide them with a knowledge and toolkit to combat information irregularities and disinformation.
The Fact-Checking Training for Local Journalists will be held twice, once on August 24, 2023 in Izmir and once on August 25, 2023 in Bodrum, with different participants. Local journalists who are affiliated with a media organization or are active in freelance journalism can apply for the training. Journalists from Izmir, Bodrum and neighboring provinces can apply for the training. Transportation and accommodation expenses of the participants will not be covered.
Journalists who want to participate in the training must fill out the application form on Monday, August 21. Participants will be announced via e-mail on Tuesday, August 22 at the latest, and detailed information about the training program and location will be sent to the participants.
