um:ag operates a news promotion program as part of the project "Strengthening Civil Society for Participatory Democracy". The aim of the journalist platform is to disseminate the news of journalists from different regions of Turkey and to contribute to the development of freedom of expression and human rights by promoting cooperation between journalists.
Under the news promotion program, all journalists can apply, but according to the priority support perspective of the project, priority will be given to the participants of the "Rights-Based Media Training" that will be held in May, June and September, as well as applications outside the places where there are many national media organizations or centers, such as Istanbul and Ankara.
News proposals submitted to the journalism platform are evaluated by the editorial team, and additional time is given to finalize accepted news proposals. The production of the news is carried out under the guidance of the editorial team of the Journalists' Platform. The completed news items are published on various news sites as well as on www.gazetecilerplatformu.com. Copyright support will be given for each news article published under the News Support Program. No additional royalties will be paid for news published on sites other than the Journalist Platform.
The news to be sent to the platform must not have been previously published in other media. Along with the news proposal, at least 3 original news photos copyrighted by the reporter or for which written permission has been obtained are also expected.
