In accordance with the decision made in the notice, regardless of whether the foundation charter provides that they can provide in-kind or cash donations directly or in any way, the management and administrative bodies of all foundations can make a decision by documenting the in-kind or cash assistance and expenses to the earthquake area indicating them as a purposive expenditure.
TUSEV's announcement is as follows;
The Foundations Council, taking into account the opinion of the Office of the Supervisor of Foundations, has decided to consider the assistance provided by the Foundations in the context of the earthquakes of February 6, 2023, as an expenditure for the purpose. The resolution of the Foundations Council of 02/13/2023, numbered 21491294-050.01-53 and numbered 54, states that "all kinds of in-kind aid, cash, etc. shall be provided to our damaged citizens, public and private civil society organizations working in this direction and for the reconstruction of our cities. It was stated that aid can be recorded as expenditure for this purpose, provided that the administrative bodies of the foundations adopt a resolution to this effect and all types of expenses and expenditures are submitted with all documentation.
In accordance with this decision, governing and administrative bodies of all foundations may record purposive expenses by taking a resolution and documenting the in-kind or monetary aid and expenses to the earthquake area, without there being a provision in the foundation charter that they may make in-kind or monetary donations directly in any form or manner.
