Training for Rights-based Journalism: Applications for Border and Migration Journalism Started

As part of the "9th Village News Center Project" implemented by the Journalists' Association, "Rights-based Journalism: Border and Migration Journalism" is organized for freelance journalists

 

Journalists who are eligible to participate in the training will receive copyright support for their news in the field of rights-based journalism. Online training videos on border and migration journalism were created by journalist Hale Gönültaş. Training program aims to provide journalists with information on border and migration journalism.

30 freelance journalists will be selected for the program.

Applicant Criteria

  • Have the capacity to act,
  • Less than 35 years old,
  • Freelance journalists who have previously practiced the profession of journalism (for those without professional experience, a degree from the Faculty of Communication is required) and do not have a permanent or temporary contract with a media company at the time of application,
  • Real persons residing in Turkey are eligible to apply. In addition, a good command of English and membership in a civil society organization or trade union working in the media field are preferred.

Deadline for Training Video Completion & Pre-registration Form Submission: November 14, 2022

Deadline for News Submission: November 27, 2022

The workshop will be held in November, participants will be notified once the date is set.
