The Family Health and Planning Foundation of Turkey (TAP Foundation) works based on gender equality to increase the quality of life of individuals and to increase the access of women and girls to information with the vision of contributing to an equitable and sustainable development process. Since 1985, the Foundation has been conducting programs in the field of reproductive health within the framework of international standards and principles. The Foundation's work has received numerous awards, including the United Nations Population Award (1994) and The Population Institute Global Media Award (1995, 2001).
Purpose of work
The main purpose of this task is to coordinate the lobbying and advocacy activities of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (CISU) Platform. This coordination includes the moderation of the members involved in the advocacy work of the Platform, the implementation of the plan in line with the Platform priorities by communicating with the target groups within the framework of the advocacy strategic plan, and the updating of the plan according to the periodic targets. This task will support the work of the Project Coordinator and will be carried out in coordination with the communication activities of the platform.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or master's degree in related fields (social sciences, human rights, law, international relations, politics, health management)
- Very good verbal and written knowledge of Turkish and English
- At least 5 years of work experience in civil society, 2 years of work experience in a similar position
- In-depth knowledge of human rights standards and gender equality (Sexual and reproductive health and rights knowledge is preferred)
- Knowledge and experience of working with government agencies
- Strategic planning ability to set priorities in advocacy work
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Good level of Microsoft Office usage and ability to use digital communication tools
- Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility in their field of work
- Ability to work in teams, share information, and support teammates
- Ability to work carefully and pay attention to detail
- No travel restrictions
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates the development and updating of the platform's advocacy strategy with the participation of platform members and the creation of the implementation plan.The platform moderates the members involved in advocacy work.
- Within the framework of the priorities of the platform, monitors and analyzes the developments in state/government policies identifies opportunities to influence policies, develops and implements lobbying and advocacy strategies.
- Within the scope of advocacy work, creates contact lists of relevant institutions and organizations, makes appointments, organizes individual and collective visits and meetings.
- Creates a monthly calendar for the implementation of the advocacy activities that the platform partners with. Carries out the activities with the relevant people within the framework of the calendar and shares the results with the Project Coordinator and Platform members.
- Takes part in the campaign works of the platform, creates advocacy messages, and disseminates them to target groups.
- Adhering to the platform's research, campaigns, and policy documents develops advocacy materials and creates content for different target audiences (public institutions, local governments, relevant commissions in the parliament, political parties, non-governmental organizations, think tanks, private sector, etc.).
- Prepares and disseminates lobbying and advocacy documents such as letters, briefings, fact sheets, and policy documents for use inside and outside the platform.
- Enables the Platform to establish relations with public institutions, local governments, political parties, relevant commissions in the parliament, trade unions, embassies, and relevant persons in non-governmental organizations; local, national, and international networks, maintains and develops communication, and transfers experience and knowledge.
- Works in coordination with the communication officer to respond to requests from the press or researchers regarding the advocacy work of the platform, to provide verbal and/or written opinions, and to disseminate messages through digital communication tools.
- Takes part in monitoring and evaluation activities related to advocacy studies.
- Participates in necessary training and meetings within the scope of advocacy work.
- Produces strategies and content with the project team for the development and dissemination of information production related to sexual rights, gender equality, and non-discrimination, and ensures sharing of knowledge and experience among movements.
