With its new campaign "Don't Separate Me from Yourself", Social Policy, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD) aims to show the power of solidarity, to make the efforts of LGBTI+ people in their struggle for equal and fair access to fundamental rights and freedoms visible, and to make SPoD's support to LGBTI+ people sustainable.
In the appeal, SPOD said:
"We need your support to continue to be accessible to LGBTI+ people across Turkey. We know that any support can change someone's life. Because even if we are told that we are just a tiny drop in a huge ocean, we are the people who come together in this huge ocean. We know that it is made up of drops.
This year, during Pride Month, we will talk about how we have touched the lives of LGBTI+ people for 13 years and what future we dream of for the LGBTI+ community in Turkey. "We invite you to visualise these efforts and support us to celebrate our past and share our dreams for the future."
