We are looking for a Finance Officer and Communication and Network Officer for the second term of the Support to Rights program run by the Memory Center and the Heinrich Böll Stiftung Association. The deadline for both postings is 31 January 2022 at 18.00. The Support to Rights Program is carried out as a sub-grant application within the scope of the grant project financed by the EU Delegation to Turkey. The program aims to increase the capacity of human rights organizations in Turkey to contribute to the advancement of human rights and democracy.

Finance Officer
Job Description:
- Following the financial requirements of the project, reporting, and necessary flow, directive, etc. preparation of documentation;
- Monitoring the financial planning, budget, and expenditures of the project and establishing the necessary mechanisms for this,
- Realizing the daily financial activities of the project and following the flow;
- Following, processing and keeping all kinds of financial documents and documents;
- Management and control of expenses and all corporate payments;
- Preparation of internal, legal, and external financial reports required by the project;
- Guiding and supporting the project team in all financial matters;
- Participating in external audits;
- Managing and reporting purchasing processes according to internal procedures
- Maintaining all duties and responsibilities in harmony with the Memory Center Financial Affairs and Finance Coordinator.
Required Qualifications:
- Having graduated from the relevant departments of the university or having experience in this field have a good command of English
- Experience in civil society and finance coordinator in at least one European Union program
- At least 7 years of total experience in finance
- To use Microsoft Office programs at a good level,
- Ability to work carefully, pay attention to details and think analytically
- Being result and solution oriented
- Have communication and teamwork skills
- Residing in Istanbul
Communication and Network Specialist
Job description:
- Preparing the communication strategy of the program in coordination with the Memory Center corporate communication team,
- To develop the audience of the program,
- Organizing the announcement of the program, necessary information, and regular sharing from social media accounts,
- Expanding the program communication network,
- Coordinating the horizontal relationship between the supported institutions,
- Regularly updating the Support for Rights website
- Creative content development
- Supporting the development of communication programs of organizations benefiting from the program
- Developing relations and activities with international networks in the field,
- During the communication and networking phases of the program, the project team is expected to work together to develop creative ideas.
Desired Features:
- Having graduated from the relevant departments of the university or having experience in this field
- Good knowledge of English
- At least 5 years of experience in the field of human rights and especially in preparing, implementing, and evaluating communication strategies for non-governmental organizations/works
- Experience in networking and/or participating in networks
- Fieldwork and personal/corporate relationship building experience
- No obstacle to frequent travel
- Prone to teamwork, strong communication skills
- Residing in Istanbul
