SistersLab is launching a free 10-week programme to empower 3rd and 4th year engineering students and/or graduates through software academies as part of the Disaster-Affected Software Developers Empowerment and Employment Access Project.
The QA Test Academy will begin with an orientation session on Friday, 12 July at 8:00pm and will run for a total of 10 weeks. Activities will be conducted in 4 different areas of the Academy:
- Software training: this will take place on Saturdays and Sundays between 09:00 and 13:00. The content of the academy training is as follows.
- Mentor meetings: These are one-hour sessions per week for 6 weeks. The mentor meetings start in the 4th week of the academy.
- Additional training sessions: These take place every other week on Mondays between 20:00 - 21:30. They are interactive with an experienced trainer in areas such as CV writing and employment law.
- Inspiration meetings: Are held every fortnight on Mondays between 20:00 - 21:30. These sessions are held in a question and answer format with expert guests in the field.
