The "Power Stories" series, which we will organize for civil society workers and volunteers within the scope of our Capacity Building Center Project for Civil Society supported by the European Union, continues in Ankara with rainbow stories with the title "Calm down" after the climate and disaster themes.
What will we listen to?
In this evening of first-hand testimony, we again have three storytellers. They will tell us about discrimination practices in Turkey and their own experiences in combating them.
Calm down!
We come together in civil society to change the society we live in. We organize trainings and campaigns to make our organizations stronger and we try to overcome many challenges. To overcome these challenges, we need empowering inspiration. Stories have the power to whisper the strengths that lie within us that we may not have realized before, when we listen to their voices. As well as inspiring us, they can make us ask new questions that we have never considered before.
For example, at such a difficult time, why is it obligatory to say, "Calm down!"? Why is staying calm so precious? Instead of reading about it in a book or watching it in a movie, how about hearing it first-hand from people who bravely risked a story that challenged them to tell their story? With all these questions in mind, you are invited to ‘Power Stories – Calm down!’
Those who are interested in stories in the civic space and want to participate in the meeting should fill in the participation form until 18.00 on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

What are "Power Stories" Meetings?
In order to build a life that is possible, to create change for an equal, just, free future where we are all included and nature is taken care of, we come side by side in a series of meetings, think together and talk together about how we can move forward together on the rocky roads to change.
