ÖRAV and İFSAK, with the support of Garanti Investment, are organising a photo competition to understand the rhythm of nature, which is a wonderful learning environment, to learn to live in harmony with it and to leave a more liveable and sustainable world for future generations. The core of every innovation is the inspiration and teaching from nature. Science, maths, physics...
Each of them has made discoveries possible by imitating the fascinating rhythm of nature. Aeroplanes, for example, resemble the wings of birds, music was created from the rhythms of nature, colours were developed thanks to nature. Humans have chosen their settlements according to the possibilities that nature offers them. In order to survive, they learnt from nature which products they should grow and how.
If you do not live in harmony with nature, you have to learn painful lessons. Major natural events, devastating effects of climate change, floods, rising temperatures, forest fires, declining biodiversity, drought... People are the cause of many disasters. Education is also necessary to understand people's commitment and responsibility for nature.
