ARTICLE 19 will organise two online trainings on "UN Mechanisms and Civil Society Advocacy in Turkey" to strengthen civil society advocacy activities in the UN system. The trainings will cover strategies for interacting with the UN Human Rights Council, the effective use of processes related to the Universal Periodic Review and Special Procedures of the Human Rights Council, the use of treaty-based monitoring procedures and other advocacy methods.
The trainings will be held in two sessions. You can register to attend one or both training sessions by completing the registration form at the link.
- Training on the Human Rights Council and Universal Periodic Review – 24 September 2024, 11:00 – 12:30 Turkish time (GMT +3)
- Training on special procedures and treaty-based review procedures – 22 October 2024, 11:00 – 12:30 Turkish time (GMT +3)
The training will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Turkish.
Applications will be accepted until 20 September 2024, 23:59 Turkish time. Only candidates whose applications have been accepted will be notified of the results. Notification of the results will be made by 11:00 a.m. Turkish time on 21 September.
