Upcoming P2P event on "The role of civil society in thepromotion of social work" in Brussels on 24-27 January 2012

Under the P2P programme, a study tour to Brussels on "the role of civil society in the promotion of social rights" is going to be organised. Main target group are participants from civil society organisations from Turkey, mainly representing the trade unions, NGOs active in the field of non-discrimination and representing people with disabilities and Roma.

The aim of this study tour is to give participants the opportunity to familiarise with the EU policies and programmes related to social rights, as well as to offer them exchange and networking opportunities among themselves and with other European-level civil society organisations active in this field.

The study tour is planned to take place on 24-27 January 2012 in Brussels. Please see the draft programme attached. The working languages will be Turkish and English. The cost of travel and accommodation will be covered by the European Commission.

We would prefer that the candidates have not participated in such programmes before and are involved in the activities on the subject issues in the affiliated unions of your Confederation. Please also consider the gender balance in your nominations.
