- To eliminate prejudices against visually impaired and partially sighted individuals,
- To ensure the development of beliefs about the skills of such individuals,
- To develop mechanisms for the full participation of visually impaired and partially sighted individuals in society and to ensure equality.
Membership and Membership Requirements
WBU membership is open to organizations working in the field of the visually impaired in each country recognized as independent states by the United Nations.
Six types of WBU membership are defined:
- National Membership
- Exclusive Membership
- Group Membership
- International Membership
- Limited Membership
- Honorary Membership
