Purposes and the Way of Work
WECF helps women take an active role in making their communities healthier and more sustainable, and develops practical solutions with trusted experts and scientists for health and environmental problems.
WECF works to raise awareness of the root causes of environmental health impacts and encourages preventive action to address problems at their source, strengthening women's participation in local, national and international decision-making. It also develops knowledge and capacity through skill sharing, surveys and training programs. WECF draws attention to difficult topics. It works to make improvements where there are health threats or environmental social injustice. It proposes solutions and demands that politicians take action.

There are three types of membership for WECF: Full membership, associating members and honorary members.
