The International Youth Foundation (IYF)

Changed
IYF works to improve the conditions and opportunities of the areas in nearly 98 countries and regions where young people live, learn, work and play. Founded in 1990 to bring world-class resources to young people in need, IYF works to strengthen and expand existing programs that create positive and lasting differences in young people's lives with hundreds of companies, institutions and non-governmental organizations.
Subject:

Since 1990, the global network of IYF and its partners in countries has helped millions of young people acquire life skills, education, job training and access to opportunities critical to their success.

Purposes and the Way of Work

IYF's mission is to positively influence as many young people as possible, in as many places as possible, through effective and sustainable programs.

The IYF is based on the rationale that there are thousands of influential programs and approaches around the world that are making big and lasting changes in the lives of young people. IYF's mission is to identify "work" programs, increase their impact and expand their reach rather than developing new programs from scratch. This way, many more young people can benefit from them.

Membership Criteria

IYF is made up of children and youth foundations and organizations working together for positive youth development at the global level. Each of these organizations has the aim of helping to solve youth problems in their own countries. The IYF network currently consists of 470 partner organizations.
