Purpose and Way of Working

The European Movement has continuously been advocating in favor of European co-operation and integration, based on the principles of peace, democracy, liberty, solidarity, equality, justice, the respect for human rights and the rule of law.

The European Movement seeks to provide a platform to encourage and facilitate the active participation of citizens and stakeholders from a cross-section of sectors in the development of European solutions to our common challenges.

Membership

Membership is open to all pro-European organizations representing civil society, trade unions, business, academia, NGOs, political parties and movements.

To join, an organization needs to:

1. share the objectives of the European Movement,
2. undertake to comply with its articles of association,
3. take part in its activities at a European level,
4. have adopted democratic rules of operation.
