Established in 1992, the European Forum for Arts and Cultural Heritage is Europe's foremost cultural sector advocate. EFAH changed its name, website and logo in 2011. Thus, it took the name of today's Culture Action Europe. The CAE is a forum for its members, through which cultural experts from many different disciplines and backgrounds who have a strong and representative voice ensure the creation of cultural policy in Europe. Also, this voice informs decision-makers about real issues affecting the cultural sector.

Purposes and the Way of Work

The CAE shares the information its members need in order to take advantage of resource/funding opportunities and anticipate trends, and follows the European Union's laws and policies on cultural affairs.

Membership and Membership Requirements

CAE membership is open to independent organizations participating in cultural policy debates and development processes at local, regional, national or European level.

CAE partners support the network through strategic information sharing, so the CAE needs dedicated professionals specialized in the field of culture.
