Purposes and the Way of Work
Through the collaborative efforts of its member groups and work with governments and international organizations, the Coalition For The International Criminal
Court (UCMK) operates to:
- To popularize and protect the Rome Statute,
- To promote a fair, effective and independent UCMK,
- To raise awareness on the International Criminal Court at national, regional and international levels,
- To monitor and support the work of the court,
- To expand the acceptance and application of the Rome Statute, which is the founding agreement of the Court,
- To work towards ensuring the participation of NGOs in ICC processes and capacity development in this field,
- To expand and strengthen the coalition's global network.
Membership Criteria
UCMK membership has spread to more than 150 countries today. UCMK is open to new NGO members. Currently, there are more than 2500 member NGOs in the global network of UCMK, which carry out activities in a wide variety of subjects and thematic areas and represent all regions of the world. Membership is free.
UCMK official membership is only for organizations. However, relevant individuals can provide personal support for coalition work.
