The works of CRD is financed by governmental organizations, the Swedish Postcode Lottery, foundations, and through corporate partnerships, as well as contributions from the public. Civil Rights Defenders is a registered Swedish nonprofit that is religiously and politically unaffiliated.
CRD establishes partnership to support human rights defenders who work in some of the world’s most repressive regions on four continents. Through advocacy, litigation, and public campaigns, it aims to advance people’s rights globally.
