In the “Books and Their Reflections on Cinema” event series, a book adapted for cinema will be examined and discussed in depth every month. At these meetings, which take place in person one month and online the next, opinions are exchanged on the topic, the characters, the narrative style of the book and the film and the degree of success of the adaptation. There is a lively exchange of ideas with participants from different professions and age groups.
The expectations of the Volunteer Event Manager are:
- Organise one event per month, one month in person, one month online,
- Guide participants in analysing books and films and lead discussions,
- Prepare content prior to events and ensure communication with participants,
- Develop methods that encourage participant interaction and participation,
- Have a flair for volunteering and reflect this flair in the events.
Required qualifications are:
- Residency in Istanbul
- Lover of literature and cinema
- Public speaking and moderation skills
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Volunteers who believe in the transformative power of art.
