Our Power Stories meetings, which we set out with the question “Can we empower each other by listening and telling stories?”, will now meet with listeners in Izmir after Nevşehir, Adana, Diyarbakır and Ankara.
On Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at 7:00 PM, join us at Audiodar for our event titled “Mysterious Happy Stories,” where three different storytellers will create narratives inspired by life itself. We will discuss themes of solidarity, unity, and the nature of humanity. Come, let’s listen to stories together. We look forward to seeing you!

Whose stories will we listen to?
Gizem Bülbüller: Reads, stays in motion, loves animals, thinks, discusses. She works as a volunteer in the civic space dedicated to enlarging the plurality of life and human unity. She deepens her work on social solidarity economics and women's empowerment with the inspiration she gets from living community-based.
Mesut Çeki: During the pandemic, he bought a motorcycle and became a courier, first delivering flowers and food, then countless items ranging from documents to dental products, spare parts to wedding dresses. He covered more than 150 thousand kilometers in three years. When he entered thousands of streets and witnessed thousands of moods and faces of people, he realized that he was in the middle of a communication and solidarity network story in which tens of thousands of couriers were a part. If he doesn't tell you his story, his tongue will swell...:)
Gizem Öykü Başkaya: A woman on the road to Ithaca, a human rights advocate, lawyer, climber, dancer, and runner; she is defined by what she aspires to be, what she has given up, what she clings to, and what she lets go of—among many other things, and many things she is not. In pursuit of stories, she continues her journey through the cracks opened on earth, finding a secret in every story and a journey in every secret.
What are Power Stories Meetings?
Power Stories is the name of our meetings where we tell and listen to each other our own stories. As civil society workers, volunteers and enthusiasts, we come together for storytelling. In “Power Stories”, we listen to real stories born in different channels of the civic space, think together with the stories of the narrators and talk about how we can move forward together on the difficult paths to change.
