Lawyers Network Answers Questions on Aid and Donations in Times of Disaster

Lawyers Network member lawyers, who came together within the scope of the European Union-funded Monitoring Freedom of Association Project we are conducting together with TUSEV, prepared an information note for the benefit of CSOs on the basic questions that arise about donations and aid.

Following the February Earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and Hatay, which affected 11 provinces, many people have been providing in-kind and cash support to civil society organizations that quickly organized and worked in the affected areas. However, this support raises questions about the legislation governing the collection of aid.

The information note prepared to answer these questions includes information on the topics that CSOs will need. The information note consists of two sections: "Donations and Aid in General" and "Donations and Aid in Disaster Period".
