The Journalists Association has issued a call for support for freelance journalists under the Media for Democracy / Democracy for the Media (M4D) Project.
The "Support Tool to Empower Self-Employed Journalists" will support freelance journalists who are not affiliated with a media institution or organization with a permanent press employment contract.
Applications to support program are accepted in the categories of news, research, TV series, podcasts, video news and photo news. News stories will be published in the 24 Hours newspaper, the daily local publication of the Journalists Association, as well as on the newspaper's and M4D Project's websites, the 9th Village news site and the M4D Project's YouTube account.
Applications are to remain open until April 1, 2025.
