The focus group study is scheduled for Thursday, 28 March, preferably at two different times, and will take place between 13:00-14:00 or 21:00-22:00. Participants only need to attend one session. To participate in the focus group, please fill out the form here.
Information about the focus group
Participants' identities will be kept confidential and no information will be shared with third parties. Participants are advised that they can leave the focus group session at any time and that they do not have to answer every question. The meeting will take place via Zoom and will be recorded. If participants accept these conditions, they will participate in the study.
Who can be the participants?
- Students of different majors and grades who continue their education in Hatay or continue their studies during the earthquake
- Students representing different characteristics such as gender, ethnicity, refugee status and disability
- Activists, civil society representatives, opinion leaders, academics with experience in access to education during the post-disaster reconstruction process
What is the methodology?
Date: Thursday, 28 March 2024
Preferred times: 13.00-14.00 or 21.00-22.00
Number of participants: 6-10 students (multiple sessions can be organised to ensure diversity)
Meeting method: The meeting will be held as a virtual session via Zoom.
Duration: Approximately 90-120 minutes
Moderator: Will be moderated by an experienced moderator
Recording: Voice recordings (with the consent of the participants) and notes will be taken.
Questions will be delivered verbally by the moderator but will also be written in the Zoom chat box. It is emphasised that participants do not have to answer every question and that the more participants there are, the more productive the study will be. Participants can leave the study whenever they want without giving an excuse. The interview consists of about 10 questions and takes about 1 hour. Participants who want to say something can write in the chat or press the hand symbol. Participants are asked to leave the video switched on and answer questions verbally if possible.
