Human and Food Conversation Meeting with Sunay Demircan and Ceren Bozkurt

The Volunteer School, which organizes "Awareness Seminars" to increase active citizen participation in the society, will hold a Human and Food Conversation Meeting with Sunay Demircan and Ceren Bozkurt on Thursday, April 21, 2022, between 20:30 and 22:00.

"How and why has the human food production/consumption relationship changed throughout history?", "In the future, human What will happen at the table?", "How much does the table occupy our life as a culture, after all?" will be answered.

Who is Sunay Demircan?

Formal Agricultural Engineer, 10 years nature conservation, wetlands-birds; 10 years of civil society development; 10 years of social-rural development, farming. Two novels, many articles. Now, on the emancipation of knowledge from man, voluntary fiction of life, not philosophy.

Who is Ceren Bozkurt?

Ceren Bozkurt was born in 1996 in Bursa. She completed her undergraduate education at the Department of History at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, combining gastronomy and history and writing his undergraduate thesis on "Ottoman Palace Culinary Culture and Food-Politics Relationship" and graduated in 2019. She started her master's degree in history at Hacettepe University and is currently in the thesis period, and her study subjects are the history of food. She contributes to the food history literature, which is still under development in Turkey, with the “Tarih ve Tarif” website of which she is the founder.
